inos Automationssoftware

1997

1997 inos Automationssoftware GmbH (inos) was founded in Stuttgart, the heart of the the German car industry. Since then inos has been known for development and marketing of innovative solutions for sophisticated automation and measurement applications.

Inos started with the idea of adding sensitive capabilities to industrial robots as they are being used today and into the future. These capabilities - seeing or feeling - technically speaking “sensors” – are now being used in robot and robotless applications.

The owl in our logo represents sharp eyes and whit. Sharp eyes for the robots are provided by the inos sensors. Whit – or process knowhow – is the information extracted from the sensor images to achieve results that can be used to improve automation accuracy and robot capabilities.

With these ideas, which are still valid today, inos has become one of the leading suppliers for specialized robot guidance and measurement applications in the automotive and other industries.

The inos experience and capability for innovation has been documented first by a series of patents and awards, and finally by the growth of Inos globally and the large and growing number of installation.

International

In 2004 globalization beyond Europe was planned and initiated. North America and Asia were targeted for this growth mainly because of the automotive industry. This globalization was accomplish by establishment Inos operations in Michigan (Inos Inc.) and Tokyo (Inos Japan), along with partnerships with line builders and integration providers.

In the year 2007 inos also started a long term development cooperation with KUKA Robotics. This partnership will provide output from the innovative power of the two companies working together. It will provide new solutions and applications benefiting the growing needs of the clients.
